My Music

Inharmonia Indonesia

Inharmonia Indonesia is the jingle of “Pagelaran Seni Budaya” ITB 2008, made by Prince Straat, while I only contributed for the violin and vocal. This song is a mix of modern and Indonesian traditional music instruments. It was performed live in PSB 2008 event with the ‘real’ gamelan Jawa + Bali orhcestra, saluang, gong, talempong, flute, midi sequencer, etc, with traditional and modern dancers. Hmm… I hope this song can make us love Indonesia more and also attract more tourists to Indonesia… :D

New single: Menerima Takdir-Mu

This song is my recent single (though not the last – I just want to make song which is separated from my album project), created in Ramadhan 2010. “Menerima Takdir-Mu” is my first nasyid or Islamic religious song, sang in Indonesian language. This song is also my first experience in recording and mixing (in my own simple room). Hence, sorry for the unbalanced sound since I am still learning this sound-engineering stuff and I do not have a good audio-recording device (T_T). But, I hope you can still feel the ‘message’ in this song.. yep, we, human must learn to accept, never give up and always pray..

3rd Album:  TRIPL3

Tripl3 Album Cover

Trip3 (2009) is my third album, which was created before I went to Europe. This is my first time I composed all my songs using software and recorded my vocal in the ‘real’ studio (because at that time I had been working for several months so I could collect money to accomplish this mission, hehe..). At least, the sound quality now is better than the previous album. Same with the previous album, you may find various genres here and also some songs from Prince Straat (thanks for the songs and also for the mixing – because I did not have enough songs for an album but I really wanted to launch my 3rd album at that time).

  • Valse du Chateau

“Valse du Chateau” is currently my favorite song in this album. This first single is a combination of French music (accordion), classical-European style (piano and waltz orchestra), and soprano vocal. Valse du Chateau in French, means Waltz of Castle. Castle here is your HEART… If you hear the lyric, it tells about the walts (the dancing) inside your peaceful heart and how to make it always in a ‘good’ condition. This song was truly inspired after I finished my “Heart-Focus” Katahati Institute training with Erbe Sentanu (thank you…. ^_^).

  • Accept, for a Meaningful Life

“Accept” is a song inspired by a book “Tuesday with Morie”, the lyric also reflects the main message of this book, to “Accept, for a Meaningful Life”. You will experienced an up-and-down melodies, the Arabic sound (not available in the cut-version in this link: http://soundcloud.com/vanya2v/accept ), also the melodies which bring you to an Alpha-wave state of your brain. Hopefully, it can make you more relax and..sleepy… :D

2nd Album: 2 SEPARATED SOULS

2 Separated Sould Album Cover

2 Separated Souls (2005) is my second album. You may listen to various genres in this album, from pop, classic, country, hip-hop to electric.

  • 2 Separated Souls

It is a gothic-classic-baroque song, which expresses my thought about me, music and the world. Up-to-now, the lyric of this song and its unique chord transition is still my favorite from all of my songs. Unfortunately, I still made this song using my old keyboard (not using computer software) so the sound quality is still low (oh, I hope I have time to re-arrange, re-take and re-mix this song!).

  • Just-EL

Just-EL is an official jingle I made for EEE (Electrical Engineering Event) in 2006. It was an orchestral-electronic song which can boost your spirit and make you happy.. ajeb-ajeb.. :D . This song was performed live in that event by ITB Orchestra and me on keyboard.

1st Album: VANYA’s BIZ

Vanya's Biz Album Cover

Vanya’s Biz is my 1st album (published in 2003). It is a collection of my songs, most of the songs I created during my elementary and junior high school. I manually recorded the tracks myself using an old magnetic-tape-recorder (my grandfather’s heritage) and a keyboard (without using any computer/software yet). So you can imagine how childish and how bad the quality of the sounds is.

  • Magnified Problem

A single in this first album is “Magnified Problem” which was created in 2002. Actually, this hip-hop song was intended for my musical lesson practical exam in junior-high school final exam (it reminds me when I played my old keyboard with the programmed-music in the diskette and sang this song, hmm.. old memory). If you wanna hear this pre-teenager’s song, check this link:

Van-YUI –> my cover versions of Japaness singer ‘YUI”

  • Happy Line

YUI-cover: an acoustic version of Happy Line, guitar and vocal by me. It was recorded during a semester break in 2005. In this song I tried to sing as innocent as her, but I think I could not make it  T_T

  • Goodbye Days

Another YUI cover by me! Yeah, because I am a big fans of YUI, hehe… Thank you for Prince Straat who made the music arrangement and Astri who made her ‘kost’ room suddenly became a place for this vocal tracking (in one lovely bright Sunday afternoon in Bandung, 2006..  ^_^).  In this song I realized that my voice is not as cute as YUI, hoo…
